In some cases, I have sought support from parents for behaviour issues in lessons. This is particularly the case in instrumental lessons (recorder, violin). For example, I feed back regularly with Idris’ mother regarding his behaviour in lessons. Throughout Year 3, his behaviour was consistently disruptive during violin lessons. This severely limited his ability to learn. I have started to talk with mum and Idris at the end of each lesson, and I have noticed a significant improvement in his behaviour over the past several weeks.
