Code.org is a free site that allows children to practice various coding skills. I have used this with most classes between Year 1 and Year 5. The site allows me to track children’s progress by seeing how many sections the children have completed, and the number of codes written. This data helps me to quickly assess children’s ability, as some children have completed more than 100 levels, while others have completed less than half of that.
