Standard 2 also expects teachers to help children develop a responsible and conscientious approach toward their own work. Therefore, I have created a series of online activities that the children can use to extend their musical learning beyond the classroom. This has encouraged children to take learning into their own hands and extend their musical strengths. Examples can be found under Standard 4.

I am also encouraging conscientious learning by displaying National Curriculum statements, Learning Objectives, and Success Criteria in my classroom. This allows children to independently guide their learning, understand what we are learning, and extend their own learning where appropriate. Examples can be found under Standard 1 (Learning Environment).
